Thailand is gearing up for a big change in how travelers enter the country, and it’s all about going digital! Starting May 1, 2025, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)—also known as the digital TM6 form—will become a mandatory step for foreign visitors. If you’re planning a trip to the Land of Smiles, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know: when it starts, what you need to do, how to do it, whether it costs anything, and who it applies to.

Thailand is one of the world’s top tourist destinations, welcoming millions of visitors each year. But with that popularity comes a challenge: managing immigration efficiently while keeping travelers safe. The old paper TM6 form, which visitors filled out on planes or at airports, was often a hassle—long lines, lost forms, and manual data entry slowed things down.
The TDAC is Thailand’s solution. By moving to a digital system, the government aims to:
Mark your calendars: the TDAC officially kicks off on May 1, 2025. From that date, all foreign travelers entering Thailand—whether by air, land, or sea—must complete this digital form before arrival.
The paper TM6 form will be fully replaced by this online system. So, if your trip is planned for May 2025 or later, this is your new travel must-do!
The TDAC is all about preparation. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
The process should take just a few minutes, and it’s designed to be user-friendly. Airlines might also remind you to complete it before boarding, so listen for those announcements!
Good news: The TDAC is free of charge! Unlike some countries that charge for digital entry forms, Thailand is keeping this one cost-free to make travel as accessible as possible.
There was talk of a 300-baht tourism tax in 2025, but that’s been postponed to focus on rolling out the TDAC smoothly. So, for now, you won’t need to pay anything for this step.
The TDAC applies to all foreign visitors entering Thailand, no matter how you arrive, including long-term visa holders:
Note: If you’re transiting through Thailand or entering using a Border Pass, you do not need to complete the TDAC. Foreigners transiting or transferring in Thailand without going through immigration control are exempt from this requirement.
The TDAC form is available in multiple languages to ensure ease of use for travelers from around the world. You can complete it in English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Russian, making it accessible to a wide range of international visitors.

"We are extremly satisfied of your first report of 5 pages regarding our next trip to Thailand and Vietnam in October 2022. We feel safe in your hands and have got all the answers to our questions on zoom with you two, even more. We apreciate the accuracy of your proposals & answers from our needs. We will work on the plan that you sent to us and then feedback to you."
"Sincere service with great professional attitudes."
"I had watched their YouTube videos and contacted them with a question about visa services. They were a great help in getting my Special Tourist Visa. Most likely I wouldn't have gotten the approvals in time, and I would have had to reschedule my dates, flights, arrival etc. and at great additional expense had I done it myself. I would definitely recommend them for this service."
